ACCENT Celebrates Successful Opening of Jamaica Contact Center

Jeffersonville, IN (November 7, 2006) – ACCENT Marketing Services, LLC today officially opened its first wholly-owned and operated international contact center in Kingston, Jamaica. The center, located at 63-65 Knutsford Boulevard, provides outsourced customer care support to more than 2.5 million mobile, internet, and wireline customers of Cable and Wireless Jamaica.

ACCENT began handling a small volume of calls in mid-August and successfully migrated multiple service lines over the next four weeks. Since then, the company has steadily decreased wait times and increased service levels across all lines of business on behalf of CWJ. To celebrate, ACCENT hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for business leaders and government officials in Jamaica.

“ACCENT is leveraging more than 13 years of extensive customer relationship management expertise,” said Kevin Foley, president of ACCENT. “We have laid a solid foundation for operational success and will continue to work closely with Cable and Wireless Jamaica to implement best-practice processes that will raise the standard of service received by their customers.”

To prepare for the transition, ACCENT hired and trained approximately 280 agents, support staff, and managers. The company also leased 18,939 square feet of space, which was previously the near-shore contact center for a U.S. – based communications company. After taking ownership of the 333 seat center in July, ACCENT made significant capital investments to enhance its technology infrastructure by installing new servers, telephony equipment, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and additional T-1 lines.

ACCENT will continue to hire employees to align staffing with call volumes across all lines of business. The company is also increasing its focus on leadership development through specialized training and U.S.-based mentoring programs. Additionally, ACCENT will work closely with CWJ to improve forecasting, automate workforce management, and identify additional technology solutions to further improve the customer experience.
